If you like the idea of having your own website, why don't you check out Global Domains International (GDI), where you can obtain one for only $10 per month.  For that monthly $10, you get your domain, hosting, e-mail, and probably the easiest page building software around, plus a whole lot more. The cool thing about GDI is that they feature .ws extensions, and the chances of obtaining a website with your name are pretty darned good!

Go to this page and you will see how you can have a one-week trial (you'll need a credit or debit card) to take a look around and experiment with this fun new toy.  You can post family stuff, pet pictures, your poetry--you name it.  If you have a wide network of family and friends, it would be an ideal way to keep them up-to-date on what's going on with you.  You're pretty much limited only by your own imagination!
